Mission

Onyx Safety Services provides practical, knowledgeable safety support founded on Accountability, Collaboration, and Empowerment.

Working in a spirit of consultation, Onyx believes safety professionals should be partners, not police. Skilled tradespeople are the experts in their work; the role of Onyx is not to tell people how to do their jobs, but to provide the regulatory knowledge, guidance, and support needed to manage risk, maintain compliance, and make informed decisions.

Safety doesn't need to be difficult. Through practical solutions, open communication, and respect for the people doing the work, Onyx Safety Services helps organizations build safety into the way work gets done—not around it.

Safety That Makes Sense

Onyx Safety Services provides practical safety advising and training grounded in experience and collaboration. Led by a Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST) designated through the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals, Onyx brings together regulatory knowledge, field experience, and more than a decade of professional training and facilitation experience.

Her instructional career began back in 2012 as an Associate Trainer supporting major global technology and consumer brands, including helping develop and deliver technical support training for a significant global technology product launch. This early experience established a strong foundation in professional facilitation, technical instruction, content development, and communicating complex information in a way that people can understand and apply.

As a Certified Instructor and Instructor Trainer, she combines formal education in adult learning theory with extensive experience developing and delivering occupational health and safety training. Her approach focuses on creating practical, engaging learning experiences that build understanding, confidence, and competency.

Known for an energetic, approachable, and engaging style, Onyx focuses on building understanding rather than simply checking boxes. The goal is to provide clients and workers with the knowledge, confidence, and practical tools to make informed safety decisions for themselves.

Safety doesn’t need to be difficult. It needs to make sense.
